White & Case has hired two former Broadfield disputes partners, Fergus Saurin and Grace Zhu, to join its Hong Kong office. This move strengthens the firm’s litigation and private capital capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region.
Saurin and Zhu joined Broadfield’s Hong Kong alliance firm Liu Patrick Ling & Co in July and November 2025, respectively.
Prior to joining Broadfield, both Saurin and Zhu practiced at Kirkland & Ellis. Saurin joined Kirkland in July 2019 and was promoted to partner as well as Asia head of arbitration and co-head of litigation in October 2020.
Earlier in his career, Saurin trained and practiced at Holman Fenwick Willan from 2009. He advises private capital clients on matters including multijurisdictional litigation and international arbitration disputes.
Saurin’s litigation experience spans first-instance and appellate proceedings before courts in England, Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Singapore, New York, the Cayman Islands, and the British Virgin Islands.
Zhu joined Kirkland in 2019 and was promoted to partner in October 2023. Previously, she trained and practiced at Hogan Lovells from 2015. She advises private equity investors, global asset managers, and multinational corporations on high-stakes cross-border investigations.
Her practice focuses on fraud, securities enforcement, anti-corruption and anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, sanctions, export controls, data privacy, and national security issues. Zhu has represented clients responding to regulatory enquiries and investigations launched by the US Department of Justice and other major regulators across Asia.
