
Rashtriya Raksha University is hiring Research Officers in Public International Law, with a PhD opportunity available. The university is looking to fill two positions: Research Officer (Public International law & Peacekeeping operations) and Research Officer (Law of the Sea – Deep Seabed Mining and BBNJ).
The Research Officer (Public International law & Peacekeeping operations) position requires candidates to have relevant educational qualifications and experience in public international law, along with a demonstrated interest in peacekeeping operations and accountability for crimes committed against peacekeepers.
Applications are invited for the two Research Officer positions. For the first position, candidates should possess a Master’s degree in public international law or a related field, with a minimum of 55% marks. They should also have at least 1 year of teaching experience or research in an equivalent cadre.
The second vacancy is intended for candidates possessing relevant educational qualifications and experience in the law of the sea, along with a demonstrated interest in deep seabed mining and the BBNJ Agreement.
Both vacancies offer an opportunity to pursue a PhD by Publication under the supervision of Professor (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel. The PhD programme will be in the areas of Accountability for Crimes Committed against Peacekeepers or Law of the Sea, with a focus on deep seabed mining and the BBNJ Agreement.

The monthly remuneration for the position will be ₹55,000/- to ₹70,000/-. Interested and eligible candidates should submit their applications online, along with legible copies of all supporting documents, on or before 10.08.2026 up to 05:00 PM.
